Finance and Purchase Department

 

The finance and purchase department manages financial transactions and procurement. Procurement activities are among the critical factors for timely accomplishment of planned activities. The procurement of requested Project components per the desired quality is equally important in performing to the standard and from cost efficiency perspective. By the same token, systematic financial transactions are crucial for smooth implementation process. And more important is also to build confidence of stakeholders through being accountable and transparent in its financial systems and transactions.

 Targets:
Purchase section:

  1. Processing of requested purchase
  2. Updating follow up Book
  3. Updating price list
  4. Updating suppliers list
  5. Performance report
  6. Distribution of price list

Finance section:

  1. Preparation of Final closing, draft statement for each donor
  2. Closing of accounts for each donor
  3. Presentation to external auditors
  4. Distribution of audit report
  5. Processing payments and receipts
  6. Recording of fixed assets
  7. Reconciliation of accounts: bank reconciliation, Leger Vs bank books, project registration books Vs ledger

Producing reports: Bank reconciliation report, Project grant report, cash account report, performance report, budget Vs expenditure report
