Environmental Rehabilitation and Agricultural Development (ERAD):

-is one of the operational departments responsible for the wide ranging activities of Natural Resources Development and Agricultural Production programs..

ERAD has two divisions:

Natural Resource Management:

Agricultural Development:

The Natural resource Management Division incorporating Soil and water conservation and Reforestation sections implements catchments treatment, water harvesting check dams, big gully reclamation, rural access roads, tree nursery management and seedling production, plantations, Area Enclosure and agro-forestry.see more

The Agricultural Development Division encompassing livestock and  crop development sections undertakes the development of dairy cows, , beekeeping, poultry , small ruminants and forage  and seed bank , organic and bio fertilizer, post harvest technologies, fruits & root  crops, water lifting technologies, fruits and root crop production and other high value crops such as spices.
